Timberview hammers DeSoto, Denson gets no-no
The Timberview softball team defeated DeSoto 22-0 on Friday night, as Mariah Denson threw a no-hitter to get Timberview its fifth straight district victory.
Denson also doubled and homered in the game for the Lady Wolves, while Gabby Littles hit two home runs in the game for Timberview.
Maddie Munoz doubled twice in the game for Timberview, and Ashley Timmons and Chelsea Luddeke also doubled in the game for the Lady Wolves.
Timberview improved to 5-0 in district with the victory and will travel to Cedar Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Mansfield wins close one with Midlothian
The Mansfield baseball team opened up district competition by defeating Midlothian by a score of 2-1 on Friday night at Mansfield.
The Tigers were led by Reid Petty, who earned the victory in the game for Mansfield, and Connor Ellington who doubled for the Tigers in the game.
Mansfield played Duncanville on Tuesday night after the press deadline and will host Grand Prairie at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Mansfield softball team rebounds from Timberview game
The Mansfield softball team came back from a 10-0 defeat to Timberview last Tuesday to defeat Midlothian 8-6 on Thursday night.
Casey Waterman got the win the game for the Lady Tigers and doubled, and Marlee Boyd hit a home run from Mansfield against the Lady Panthers.
Mansfield moved to 4-1 in district competition with the victory, and will host Grand Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Summit edges out Lake Ridge
The Summit baseball team defeated Lake Ridge 2-1 on Friday night.
Alex Palmer earned the victory for the Jaguars.
Summit played Red Oak on Tuesday after the paper had already gone to press and will host Ennis at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Lake Ridge softball team beats Summit
The Lake Ridge softball team defeated Summit last Wednesday by a score of 8-1.
Samantha Householder earned the victory for the Lady Eagles and allowed just one hit in the game.
Lake Ridge played Lancaster on Tuesday after the press deadline and will travel to Waxahachie at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Legacy baseball team defeats Waxahachie
The Legacy baseball team beat Waxahachie by a score of 9-4 on Friday night in Mansfield.
Blake Wilson earned the victory for the Broncos, Karson Houston tripled in the game and Marcus Perez doubled against Waxahachie.
The Broncos played played Ennis on Tuesday after the press deadline and will host Arlington Seguin at 7 p.m. on Friday.
