Mansfield school board trustee Danny Baas announced Thursday that he has resigned from the board effective immediately, according the school district.
Baas, 43, has served on the Mansfield school board since 2011 in Place 6, and was re-elected for his second three-year term in May.
The Mansfield police officer cited “personal reasons” for his decision.
Trustees will operate as a six-member board until a decision is made on filling his post, according to a Twitter post.
