Children’s music

Take the kids to the Mansfield Public Library for award-winning children’s musician Lizza Connor at 10:30 a.m. The free program is for ages 3-11. The library is at 104 S. Wisteria St.

Science program

Take the teens and tweens to the Mansfield Public Library to learn about polymers at 2 p.m. The free program is for ages 12-17. The library is at 104 S. Wisteria St.

July 18

Live music

Emily Elbert will perform at 8 p.m. at Daydream Photography, 124 N. Main St. Admission is $10; BYOB. Sponsored by Discover Historic Mansfield.

July 19

Farmers market

The Mansfield Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at 206 Smith St. Check out locally-grown produce, farm-raised meats, jams, jellies, local honey, plants, cut flowers, handmade soap, fresh bakery items, arts and crafts and more. Free parking.

Dance music

Put on your cowboy boots and head to the Western Kountry Klub to dance to Country Night Live from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Admission is $10 adults, $5 kids; BYOB. The historic dance hall is located at 5728 Lakeview Road, take the Lakeview exit off U.S. 287 between Mansfield and Midlothian. School board

The Mansfield school board will meet at 7 p.m. in the Mansfield ISD Center for Performing Arts, 1110 W. Debbie Lane. The meeting is open to the public.

Magic of books

Take the kids to the Mansfield Public Library for The Magic of Books at 10:30 a.m. The free program is for ages 3-11. The library is at 104 S. Wisteria St.

Science program

Take the teens and tweens to the Mansfield Public Library for Artbots at 2 p.m. The free program is for ages 12-17. Class size is limited to 25; pre-registration is required. The library is at 104 S. Wisteria St.

Job fair

The third annual Mansfield Job Fair is set for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Mansfield ISD Center for Performing Arts, 1110 W. Debbie Lane. The job fair is sponsored by Workforce Solutions and the Mansfield Economic Development Corp.
