Mansfield Historical Society will be updating their military DVDs this summer. They have a extensive list of enlisted men who fought in the Civil War and World War I. They are asking for help with names of men and women who enlisted in World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War, Desert Storm and War on Terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The criteria are that they attended or graduated from a Mansfield High School. Vern Raven at the museum has forms that should be completed. A photo of the service man or woman in their uniform is preferred, but any photo taken of them near the time of enlistment or discharge will be acceptable. The museum has the ability to copy the photo and can return it you.
Information needed: Name, address, war, branch, rank, where they were stationed and any special recognition.
This information and photos can either be taken to the museum Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., or mailed to Mansfield Historical Society, 102 N. Main St., Mansfield, TX 76063. If you have any questions, please call the museum at (817) 473-4250 between 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
