College Honors

Hanna Makenzie Rice, a Mansfield native, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and Charles Edward Roe, a Mansfield native, graduated with a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University during spring commencement. Hanna and Charles were among the 620 graduates receiving associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from DBU.

Dallas Baptist University

Hanna Makenzie Rice, a Mansfield native, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and Charles Edward Roe, a Mansfield native, graduated with a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University during spring commencement. Hanna and Charles were among the 620 graduates receiving associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from DBU.

During her time at DBU, Hanna was an All-American cross country and track athlete, a graduate assistant coach, and was involved in the Thread Women's Ministry.

Texas State University

Texas State University has announced that the following students from Mansfield were among the graduates during 2014 spring commencement ceremonies at the university: Shelby N. Pickett received a bachelor's degree in Communication Design; Heather Elise Christian received a bachelor's degree in Health Information Management; Anthony M. Van Buskirk received a bachelor's degree in History; Rebecca M. Silvas received bachelor's degrees in Spanish and International Studies; and Amber Michelle Coble received a bachelor's degree in Psychology.

Texas State University has announced that the following students from Mansfield have been named to the dean's list for the 2014 spring semester: Clancy Annette Taylor, Kayla B. Smith, Jamie David Heiland, Amber E. Mersberger, Heather Elise Neal, Zachary Ismaili Alaoui, Drew L. Alers, Morgan L. Fangman, Karli Lynn Owens, Cole M. Thompson, Glen Michael Stevenson, Shelby N. Pickett, Kole P. Knutson, Tara R. Hohman, Blair Roxanna Kramer, Miranda Salaste Hawkins, Jasmine T. Skeeters, Nathan Thomas Anthony and Eric W. Zimmerman.

To be named to the Dean's List at Texas State, a student must earn a minimum grade-point average of 3.50 while carrying a class load of at least 12 semester hours.
