Triathlon dives into Hawaiian Falls

All-around athletes can test their skills in the inaugural Tiki Tri, starting at 7 a.m. Sunday at Hawaiian Falls.

The triathlon features a 289-meter swim in the lazy river, 11.53 mile bike ride and 3.09 mile run.

Cost ranges from $77-$80 or $90 for a sprint relay team. Registration fee includes admission to the park, which will be closed to the general public for the day.

Packet pick-up is from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Hawaiian Falls, 490 Heritage Parkway.

On Saturday, the public can dive into the wave pool and watch “Teen Beach Movie” from 2-5 p.m. for Flick & Float at Hawaiian Falls. Vendor booths and concessions will be open. Admission is free.
