Mansfield plans cleanup events

The Keep Mansfield Beautiful Commission and City of Mansfield Utilities Department are hosting cleanup events in in April. Volunteers of all ages are invited to attend and help clean up litter from the creeks, park trails and wooded areas.
If you attended the Pickle Parade, you may have seen the KMB Sea Pickle, a 20-foot Viking ship with H2Owen as the captain. This is the theme for this year’s Cleanup Series is “Don’t sail past the trash!”
The “Tax Trash Return” Cleanup is scheduled for 3-6 p.m. April 15 in downtown Mansfield. Volunteers can park along Smith Street and enter a raffle for a chance to win gift certificates from local businesses.
Night on the Town will include Karaoke Cleanup is 6-9 p.m. April 26 at Town Park, 500 N. Main St. Residents are invited the sing karaoke, clean the park and play games such as a scavenger hunt and contests. They can also get a picture with H2Owen and the KMB Sea Pickle Viking ship.
Supplies are provided for the litter pick-up. Volunteers can pre-register by visiting www.mansfield-tx.gov and download the form or they can register at each event.
