With spring arriving soon, it’s time to start spring cleaning and get rid of your unwanted stuff! The Water Utility Department and Keep Mansfield Beautiful Commission are giving Mansfield residents the opportunity to dispose of unwanted, bulky items free of charge from 7 a.m. to noon March 29 at R.L. Anderson Stadium, 1016 Magnolia St.
The following items are accepted for free disposal: bulky items (including couches, mattresses and box springs), junk, scrap metal, car batteries, appliances, tires and bicycles. Tree limbs and brush must be dropped off at 24 N. Mitchell Road.
Staff will be available to help unload your vehicle. Due to the time constraint, we ask that you bag up your loose trash. Please remember to bring a current utility bill or driver’s license to verify Mansfield residency.
If you have gently used furniture or clothing that you would like to donate prior to the event, take it to the Wesley Mission Center Thrift Shop, 777 N. Walnut Creek Dr.
Businesses and contractors are not allowed to drop off materials at this event and will be turned away. Do not bring roofing material, paint, pesticides, fertilizers, motor oil or any other household hazardous waste. These materials cannot be accepted. You will be asked to take it to the Environmental Collection Center in Fort Worth for free disposal.
To request pick-up assistance (elderly or handicap only), contact Arianne Shipley by March 28 at (817) 477-2248 or email@example.com.
