Head to Steven’s Garden & Grill at 7 p.m. to hear some country and classic rock from the Clint Moody Band and party with the Pickle Queens to kick off the St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade & Palooza weekend. Admission is free. Steven’s is located at 223 Depot St.
The third annual St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade & Palooza kicks off at 9 a.m. with mile, 5k and 10k runs at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 500 E. Dallas St., followed by the Pickle Parade at 2 p.m. and the free Pickle Palooza immediately after the parade. Disco band Le Freak will headline the Palooza, which will also include food vendors, pickle eating contests, street dance and a free kids area. For more information, go to www.pickleparade.org.
Mansfield residents can drop off their hazardous waste at City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St., from 9-11 a.m. or when trailers are full. Must show Mansfield utility bill or driver’s license.
The Wizard of Oz
Head to the Farr Best Theater to see the classic film “The Wizard of Oz” at 2 p.m. Admission is free, but donations to Feed the Kids for Summer will be accepted. The theater is located at 109 N. Main St.
St. Patrick’s Day
City Council meeting
The Mansfield City Council will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St. Meetings are open to the public. The meetings are also broadcast on Charter Communications channel 27. For more information, call (817) 276-4200.
