ESL teachers, assistants needed
First Methodist is currently seeking teachers and assistants for the spring semester of English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, with classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Tuesday evenings, beginning Jan. 28. Student registration for the multi-level classes is from 10 a.m.-noon and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 21 in the A&E Building. There is a $25 fee for materials; free childcare is provided. First Methodist is located at 777 N. Walnut Creek Dr.
First Baptist hosts Financial Peace
More than 2 million families have positively changed their financial future through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU). Updated in summer 2012, the now nine-week course provides families and individuals with practical tools to gain control of their finances and set themselves up for long-term financial success. The course meets once a week where a different lesson is taught by Ramsey on DVD followed by a small-group discussion. Lessons include budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing. FPU will be held in First Baptist Church, 1800 E. Find help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce at DivorceCare, a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. DivorceCare is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable resources to help you deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.

Celebrate Recovery at Walnut Ridge
Celebrate Recovery is a ministry helping people overcome life’s hurts, hang-ups and habits by providing a biblical and balanced program to help deal with issues like abuse, addiction and anger. The purposes of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church’s Celebrate Recovery ministry are to have fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power through the Eight Recovery Principles.
This program is Christian, uncompromisingly biblical and proven to work within the church. It has brought people together to discover a new level of care, acceptance, trust and grace. This program meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays. For more information, contact David Hall at (817) 473-1461.

First Methodist accepts donations for babies
First Methodist Mansfield is partnering with radio station KCBI during the month of January for Baby’s On Board: A Shower of Hope, an effort to benefit four area pregnancy centers supporting women facing unplanned pregnancies. The church is a community collection site for those who would like to donate disposable diapers, baby wipes and new car seats. Bring donations to the Main Building reception area if you would like to help.
