MOPS schedule Junk in the Trunk garage sale

Come shop multiple garage sales in one spot at Junk in the Trunk, a community-wide garage sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. April 29. This semi-annual event is hosted by MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) in the parking lot of First Baptist Church, 1800 E. Broad St. Vendors are welcome. St. John’s opens youth building

St. John Lutheran Church held a ribbon cutting for its new youth building Monday morning. The church at 1218 E. Debbie Lane invites the community to visit the new building at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for a spiritual evening featuring guest speakers, including the Mansfield Pickle Queens, Sarah Zink and Dr. George Bobbitt. St. John’s will show the film “Unbroken” at 7 p.m. Friday and have an open house from 2-4 p.m. Saturday.

First Methodist hosts Financial Peace

More than 4.5 million people have positively changed their financial future through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU). The nine-week course provides families and individuals with practical tools to gain control of their finances and set themselves up for long-term financial success. The course meets once a week where a different lesson is taught by Dave on DVD followed by a small-group discussion. Mansfield Bible Church hosts Halloween activities
