Students whip up pastry delights at Fossil Ridge cooking camp

Young chefs learn baking and pastry skills.

Young chefs ages 8 to 14 got the chance to hone their baking and pastry making skills at “Cooking 4 Kids Camp” last week at Fossil Ridge High School.

Culinary Arts teacher Jackie Godek held three different sessions in June, one for beginners, one on baking and one for experienced cooks.

At each camp, two dozen kids worked with Godek and advanced students from the Fossil Ridge culinary arts program to create dishes they could enjoy in class or take home.
