Northwest ISD

Fair deal

The Northwest school district and Communities in Schools of North Texas are working together to put on the district’s second annual Back to School Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 9 at Northwest High School. This year’s fair will provide school supplies and assistance to families who need extra support based on their financial need (verified by their registration for free or reduced lunch). Visit www.cisnt.org to learn about opportunities to sponsor a family or make a donation toward the event.

Online enrollment help available

Enrollment Online is available for students new to the Northwest school district, including incoming kindergarten students. To access the online registration feature, parents of students currently enrolled in the district must have a Home Access Center account. Access to the HAC requires an internet connection and a confidential username and password issued to the parent by the school.

Users unsure of their HAC login can contact the student’s campus. Campuses have computers available for use for households without internet. An Enrollment Online help desk is set up at the district’s administration building (2001 Texan Drive, Justin) from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. weekdays. Parents of returning students can begin the online registration process July 14.

Camps keep students learning, active

During the last week in June, Northwest school district elementary through junior high students could learn about science, build working Lego robots and hone their sports skills at Northwest school district summer camps. To learn more about upcoming Northwest school district camps, go to the school district’s web site, www.nisdtx.org.
