Twelve Keller district students have been named National Merit Finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
The finalists from Central High School are: Caroline Kung, Joyce Lee, Spencer Robinson and Eric Wang.
Laura Gatch is a finalist from Fossil Ridge High School.
At Keller High School, the finalists are: Charles Crum, Lindsey Faust, Kyle Harper, Stacy Nguyen and Joanne Jeongwon Shin.
The finalists from Timber Creek High School are: Quan Nguyen and Alex Romanyuk.
National Merit finalists are drawn from semifinalists who represent the top 1 percent of 1.5 million juniors who take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
To become a finalist, students and their high schools are required to submit an application with details on academic record, leadership ability and honors and awards received.
