Stock Art

Nico Holt, of Byron Nelson High School, took top honors in the 2014 Star-Telegram Stock Show Art Contest. Holt placed second and received a $1,500 scholarship for his portrait painting of a longhorn. Until Feb. 8, Holt, along with other art contest winners, will have the art auctioned at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. Holt is eligible to receive a maximum scholarship of up to $4,500 if the painting sells. If the sale reaches the maximum allotment for Holt’s scholarship, the increased bid money will go to the Byron Nelson’s art program.
