A Delta Airlines flight on its way to Orlando, Fla., was diverted to Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Sunday afternoon for a security search, an airport spokeswoman confirmed.
Delta Flight 1061 departed from Los Angeles International Airport at 10:30 a.m. PT and arrived at 4:25 p.m. Sunday, said spokeswoman Cynthia Vega.
Vega would not say why the diversion was made.
Per Delta’s request, a team consisting of the DFW DPS got all 179 passengers and eight crew members off the plane so it could be inspected, Vega said.
