A 57-year-old man was fatally shot late Friday by Sansom Park police.
Police were called to a disturbance in the 5800 block of Jacksboro Highway at about 10:30 p.m. Investigators told WFAA/Channel 8 that officers fatally shot a “hostile” man at the residence.
The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified him as David Grayson. His cause of death was listed as gunshot wound to the neck and chest, and he died in the home’s living room.
The Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting. Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Lonny Haschel, a department spokesman, said the Rangers won’t comment on an ongoing investigation.

Sansom Park Police Chief Randy Driver has not responded to inquiries about the incident.
