Swarm of 5,000 bees removed from Forest Hill

Experts were called in Thursday to remove about 5,000 bees from Forest Hill.

A swarm of an estimated 5,000 bees was removed Thursday afternoon from a Forest Hill neighborhood.

Alex Rios, an animal control officer, was assisted by a firm known as Bee Rescue.

The bees were removed from the neighborhood in the 6400 block of Melinda with a vacuum-like device.

The bees will be relocated to a honey-producing operation in Parker County, Forest Hill police Chief Dan Dennis said in an email.
