Tonight’s Rockin’ the River concert will party on, despite the potential rain.

The Shack, the first indoor venue at the Panther Island, will host the free concert with Brandon Jenkins & Steve Helms Band, said Matt Oliver, spokesman for the Trinity River Vision Authority. The first band starts at 6:45 p.m.

The free summer concert series started June 5 and runs every Thursday through Aug. 7, with bands typically playing from a waterfront stage as concert-goers lounge in inner-tubes as they float the Trinity River.

Parking is also free at 395 Purcey St.
