Two people were hurt Wednesday evening when a small plane crashed south of Azle in far western Tarrant County, according to reports.
The aircraft, described as a blue-and-white biplane, went down in the 7600 block of Confederate Park Road.
A dispatcher for Tarrant County fire departments said the plane ended up in a yard.
The biplane was Starduster TOO SA300 biplane, according to FAA records. The owner could not be reached to comment Wednesday evening.
A landing strip called Flying Oaks Airport is nearby.
A helicopter ambulance took the pilot to Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital; a passenger went by ground ambulance to the same hospital, officials said. Their conditions could not be learned immediately.
Firefighters from Lake Worth, Eagle Mountain and Azle responded to the crash, the dispatcher said.
Lynn Lunsford, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration in Fort Worth, said he was notified of the crash about 7:20 p.m. The agency will investigate the cause, he said.
