The three finalists for the Fort Worth city manager job won’t be released until Monday.
Jason Lamers, chief of staff for Mayor Betsy Price and the council, said the candidates need more time on their end before the announcement is made. Price had hoped to release the names Thursday.
Council members spent most of Tuesday interviewing five candidates for the position in a closed-door meeting, Price said.
Price said they want to bring the finalists back for more interviews in mid-May.

The city started the first search after City Manager Tom Higgins, who has been with the city for nearly 30 years, announced his retirement in October. Higgins, who makes $233,400 a year, agreed to stay on until a successor is chosen.
