Bank robbed Thursday in south Fort Worth

A man with a note robbed a Chase Bank on Interstate 35W in south Fort Worth, police said.

A robber used a note to demand money at a bank along the South Freeway Thursday morning, police said.

The robbery was reported at 11:55 a.m. at Chase Bank, 4200 Interstate 35W at East Bolt Street, police records show.

The robber handed the teller a note and demanded money, Sgt. Kelly Peel wrote in a news release. He did not display a weapon.

The robber is 25 to 30, about 5-feet-5 and weighs 140 to 160 pounds. He wore a gray toboggan-style cap, black hooded sweatshirt, white T-shirt, large sunglasses and black jeans.

Anyone with information about the robber is asked to call 911, Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477 or robbery detectives at 817-989-3317.

Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and they might be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000 if their information leads to the case being cleared.
