Authorities have identified the man who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run wreck Sunday in the 3400 block of Mansfield Highway.
Kenneth Devlieger, 56, was identified Monday by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
He was struck at about 6:30 p.m. while he was trying to cross the highway, police said. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where he was pronounced dead at 7:08 p.m., the medical examiner said.
Police on Sunday said they were looking for an older man who was driving a black GMC pickup, police said. The truck is a 2000 or later two-door, extended-cab model. The driver pulled into a gas station at the 3350 block of Mansfield Highway before heading east on Mansfield Highway, police said.
No other details were available Monday.
