Six fire departments and arson investigators for Tarrant County responded Tuesday to a report of an explosion and fire at a home in Azle.

The call came in at about 4:45 p.m. in the 6500 block of Appian Way, a Tarrant County fire dispatcher said.

No injuries were reported, but broadcast media stations posted photos on Twitter of a building’s charred, smoldering remains.

Appian Way is off Texas 199, also called Jacksboro Highway, between Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth.

The county’s arson investigators responded, along with firefighters from Azle and Lake Worth and volunteer fire departments from River Oaks, La Junta, Eagle Mountain and Silver Creek, the dispatcher said.

No other information was available.
