One killed, one hurt in east Fort Worth crash

A woman died Sunday from injuries suffered when the vehicle she was in landed in a creek near Interstate 30 and Eastchase Parkway, police said.
The driver was injured, police said.
Investigators did not have details on how the car ended up in the creek.
The crash was reported shortly after 1 p.m. near the westbound lanes of I-30. Officers found the car partially submerged in the creek, police said.
The woman was found unconscious and was taken to John Peter Smith hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, authorities said.
The driver was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth; his condition was unavailable.
The victims’ names were not immediately released.
