A 57-year-old Parker County man was beaten, bound with duct tape and robbed in his home Wednesday night, the sheriff said.
After the two robbers left with a flat-screen television and two rifles, the man freed himself and ran to a relative’s home.
No one had been arrested as of Thursday.
The attack occurred about 11:20 p.m. in the 200 block of Montgomery Lane in Parker County. The victim, who was not identified by authorities, told deputies that two men knocked on his door and that he let them in because he recognized one as an acquaintance.
“Once inside the residence, the suspects physically assaulted the homeowner, bound his hands and feet with duct tape and pulled his hair,” Sheriff Larry Fowler said in a news release Thursday.
The homeowner gave deputies a description of the acquaintance, but because of his injuries, he could not describe the other man. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
