A fugitive who was on the run for more than a week was found not far from where he was accused of biting and stabbing a man and stealing his car.
David Allen Seymour, 36, was arrested by Fort Worth police around 10 p.m. Monday at the Crossland Economy Suites hotel at 3804 Tanacross Drive in north Fort Worth, Cpl. Tracey Knight said.
Seymour, who had been sought since Sept. 6, is expected to be charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. He is accused of biting and stabbing a man near the 7400 block of North Beach Street the night of Sept. 4, then stealing his car.
A few hours later, at around 1 a.m. Sept. 5, Seymour led Collinsville police on a lengthy high-speed chase, according to a news release. Collinsville officers arrested him but noticed he showed signs of an overdose, so they took him to a hospital in nearby Sherman.
Seymour was treated and released the next day, when a Ford F-150 pickup was stolen from the hospital parking lot. Seymour is accused of taking the truck.
Seymour’s bail was set at $50,000, Knight said.
