A 40-year-old Watauga man accused of causing a wreck that killed a 65-year-old man was charged with manslaughter on Friday.
Brian Lee Dombrowski was arrested Wednesday, according to a police report. He was released from jail on $100,000 bail, court records show.
The wreck occurred June 26 on a residential street in the South Hills neighborhood. Dombrowski was driving a Hummer northbound on Lubbock Avenue. He was speeding and ran a stop sign at Yates Street where he hit a westbound Dodge Caravan, traffic investigators reported. The driver of the Caravan, Jose Ceron-Leyva, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Court records show that in 2009 Dombrowski was sentenced to 18 months probation on a conviction of driving while intoxicated/misdemeanor repetition. — Deanna Boyd
