Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday that sent one man to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said the man was shot twice in the upper body while in the 2000 block of East Lancaster Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. Seven police units responded to the shooting call, according the Fort Worth Police Department call log.
The man, who police did not identify, was listed in critical condition by emergency medical personnel, a MedStar spokesman said. No suspects had been arrested late Tuesday, according to police.
Police are also investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 4600 block of Shackleford Street just after midnight Tuesday.

In that incident, another victim who was shot survived, but Alfredo Nieto, 19, was pronounced dead about 1 a.m. Tuesday after arriving at John Peter Smith Hospital. Nieto died from a gunshot wound to the torso, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Police could not say late Tuesday if the two shootings were related.
