An elderly resident shot and wounded another man early Sunday after a confrontation in a residence, police said.
The 83-year-old man told police he shot a 21-year-old man after the younger man threatened him and refused to leave his home on Glen Oaks Boulevard.
The young man, identified as Roberto Facundo, 21, was treated at a local hospital and taken to Lew Sterrett Justice Center.
Facundo remained in jail Sunday morning several hours after the shooting.
Police responded to the shooting call about 1:40 a.m. in the 900 block of Glen Oaks Boulevard.
The elderly man told police Facundo had entered his home and he asked the young man to leave.
At some point, Facundo is accused of threatening and yelling at the the elderly man.
The elderly resident told police he fired a weapon at Facundo when the young man advanced toward him.
