One man was displaced after a house fire near a Buddhist monastery in north Fort Worth early Saturday.
Firefighters responded about 7:45 a.m to the 13200 block of Se-ha-payak Road, next to the Wat Buddharatanaram and just off U.S. 377 near the city of Keller border. Heavy flames were showing when officials arrived but they were able to get it under control quickly, said Kyle Clay, department spokesman.
A 72-year-old man was displaced by the fire but no injuries were reported. The American Red Cross arrived to help the man with essentials. The home was not completely destroyed but is not liveable, Clay said.
Investigators were on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
