A second man now stands accused in the kidnapping of two teen boys who police say were forced to strip naked and were then beaten in an attack posted on Facebook.
Rashad Leonard, 25, was being held in the Tarrant County Jail on Friday after his Monday arrest on two warrants charging him with aggravated kidnapping. He is also charged with assault bodily injury of a family member in an unrelated matter.
Leonard and a second man, 28-year-old Herman Christian Sanders, are alleged to have kidnapped the two boys — ages 15 and 16 — on Nov. 22 after Sanders spotted the teens walking by his house in 7000 block of Lara Court.
According to police, Sanders got out of his vehicle, pulled a gun on the two and accused them of attempting to break into his vehicle.
The teens were then forced to strip naked in Sanders’ front yard, where others were gathered, and were beaten as someone posted the attack on Facebook, police have said.
Police were alerted to the incident by the mother of one of the boys. She told officers that a video of the attack had been posted to Facebook but was removed before officers arrived on the scene.
Police on the scene did view a photograph that had been taken of the two naked teens.
Sanders is also among a group of men accused in an unrelated case involving the sex trafficking of a 16-year-old girl.
Sanders remained in the Tarrant County Jail on Friday, charged with sexual assault of a child under 17 in that case.
Two other man, Pierre Lagrone, 33, and Robert Roseberry, 28, are charged with trafficking a person under 18/prostitution. Roseberry is also charged with sexual assault of a child, court records show.
