A 26-year-old man was being held at the Grand Prairie Jail on Sunday night on suspicion of fatally shooting another man in the stomach, according to police.
Kale Kent was being held on $250,000 bail in the shooting of an Arlington man, said Detective Lyle Gensler, a Grand Prairie police spokesman.
Grand Prairie police were dispatched to the 4700 block of Chaucer Court at 11:55 p.m. Saturday after receiving a 911 call about a shooting, Gensler said.
Officers found Kent and the man who was shot when they arrived at the home, he said. Kent was arrested without incident, while officers started administering CPR on the shooting victim, who was later identified as 45-year-old Myles Miller by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Fire Department paramedics continued to work on Miller until he was taken to the Medical Center of Arlington, where he was pronounced dead at 12:54 a.m. Sunday, Gensler said.
It was not clear Sunday night how the two knew each other.
Gensler said the case is under investigation.
