Pedestrian identified in fatal accident in east Fort Worth

The man was hit by an SUV Sunday night on Texas 360 in far east Fort Worth, police said.

Stephen Hernandez of Arlington has been identified as the pedestrian who was killed Sunday night after being hit by a sport utility vehicle on Texas 360, according to Tarrant County records.

Hernandez, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:08 p.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of Texas 360 near Trinity Boulevard, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office reports.

Hernandez was standing or walking on the highway when he was hit by the southbound SUV, police said. The driver stopped, was interviewed by police and eventually released, police said.

Police did not suspect the driver of wrongdoing.

Police had not released any information on what the victim was doing on the highway.
