Arlington man killed after vehicle falls on him

A 38-year-old Arlington man died Sunday afternoon from injuries suffered when a vehicle he was working under fell on top of him.

Jerone Russell was pronounced dead at 5:49 p.m. at the Medical Center of Arlington.

His death has been ruled an accident caused by traumatic asphyxiation.

Police were dispatched to Russell’s home in the 1400 block of Grovecrest Drive about 5 p.m. Sunday.

According to call details, the vehicle had been inside the garage and elevated on some sort of blocks or ramp when it fell, trapping Russell underneath. - Deanna Boyd
