Police responding to a report of a shooting on East Arkansas Lane on Wednesday afternoon pulled over an SUV and found three men wounded inside.

A total of 10 men were in the SUV, police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard said. Three had been shot — two in the legs, one in the lower back. They were taken to a hospital while the other seven were questioned, she said.

A 911 call reporting shots fired was received at 2:35 p.m. from a strip shopping center in the 1100 block of East Arkansas Lane in east Arlington.

Within minutes, about a block away near East Pioneer Parkway and Daniel Drive, officers spotted an SUV that matched the description of the one seen leaving the strip center, Richard said.

Officers pulled over the SUV and found the wounded men, Richard said.

Police did not release further information Wednesday night.
