Arlington man gets 40 years for child porn video

A 43-year-old Arlington man was sentenced Friday to 40 years in prison for emailing a one-minute child porn video and discussing the images with the person he sent it to, the U.S. attorney’s office reported.

An Arlington man was sentenced Friday to 40 years in federal prison for one count of distribution of child pornography, the U.S. attorney’s office reported.

Barry Robert Turner, 43, pled guilty in July to emailing a one-minute video of pornography involving a toddler to another person, a news release said.

According to prosecutors, in October 2012 Turner answered a Craigslist ad “for taboo phone sex” and communicated with the person who placed the ad. In December, he sent the video to that person, who was not identified in the news release. “In subsequent emails and texts they discussed the child porn images they shared,” the news release said.

Turner was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Aisha Saleem and sentenced by U.S. District Judge John McBryde. — Staff report
