Investigators released photos of a black SUV and a man walking into a QuikTrip Sunday hoping they would lead to whoever killed two pedestrians by running over them on Saturday.
Police would like to speak to the man captured on surveillance footage because he was “seen in the area” at the time of a 2:12 a.m. Saturday crash that killed a man and woman as they crossed West Division Street.
Tammy Mclain, 40, of Parker County, died in the road, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner. The man had not been identified Sunday late afternoon.
Footage from a QT close to the accident shows a man entering the store at 1:51 a.m.

“This vehicle and person is not considered a suspect at this point of the investigation,” Arlington police spokesman Lt. Chris Cook wrote in a statement.
Investigators got surveillance footage from the gas station, but it does not show the hit-and-run.
Authorities also appealed for help during the weekend to find the vehicle, which should have damage to the front. No debris from the vehicle was left at the scene, police said.
The two were crossing the 2400 block of West Division Street near Bowen Road when they were struck. The driver fled.
The pedestrians were not using a crosswalk, according to police.
