A sailor from Arlington was found dead on an Navy aircraft carrier in Washington state over the weekend, the Navy announced Tuesday.
Akiree Pointer, 22, was found dead Saturday with "no obvious and apparent cause of death," a Navy spokesman told the Kitsap Sun newspaper.
His death is still under investigation.
Pointer was an engineman on the USS John C. Stennis, which was in port in Bremerton, Wash., west of Seattle.
