A 2-week-old boy died Monday from injuries he suffered in a car crash in Grand Prairie, police said.
Mohamed Mbaye was riding in a child safety seat in the back right seat of his mother’s car when the crash happened about 9:40 a.m., according to a police news release.
His mother, Sokhna Ghingue, 22, was driving west on Mayfield when she ran a red light at the frontage road of Texas 161.
Her 2012 Kia Rio was struck on the passenger side by a 2012 Dodge pickup, and then both vehicles crashed into a 2012 Toyota pickup that was stopped at the light, the news release said.
