A three-vehicle crash sent one man to the hospital with serious injuries and shut down eastbound Interstate 30 in Arlington for about three hours Friday night.
The wreck happened near Collins Street about 6 p.m., when a driver rear-ended a pickup truck “at a high speed,” said Lt. Chris Cook, police spokesman. The driver who rear-ended the truck was flown to a hospital with serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Traffic was backed up for several miles as authorities worked to clear the wreck. The highway re-opened about 8:40 p.m.
