A missing 16-year-old Grand Prairie girl was located Friday morning with a former teacher at a Richardson motel, police officials said Friday.
Grand Prairie detectives, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and Richardson police, located the teen and Michael Perez, 25, Friday morning.
Perez was arrested, accused of harboring a runaway, and is being held in the Richardson Detention Center, according to a news release by Grand Prairie police.
Detectives are conducting interviews and gathering evidence to determine if additional charges will be sought against Perez, police said.
Grand Prairie police had released pictures of the teen and Perez on Thursday, asking for the public’s help in finding her. Investigators had believed the teen was with Perez, whom she met at Grand Prairie High School where he formerly worked.
