The Martin baseball team suffered a season-ending defeat to San Angelo Central in the area round, losing the first and last games of a three-game series.

Central won Game 1 by an 8-1 final, but Martin came back with a strong 10-hit performance in the first game of a series-closing doubleheader Saturday to force a deciding Game 3.

Central won it 13-0. Clay Wegner of the Warriors had a double and a triple in the final game. The Warriors closed out their season 25-10-1.
