The last week of the district season holds the potential for some last-minute shake-ups in the standings, as Sam Houston, Martin, Arlington and Lamar look to sew up the four playoff spots out of 3-5A.

Sam Houston and Martin were scheduled for one of the biggest games of the regular season on Tuesday before each squad finishes out the season against foes ranked lower in the district. Sam Houston closes out at 7:30 p.m. Friday hosting Weatherford, while Martin visits Bowie at the same time.

Bowie entered the week with Arlington scheduled for Tuesday's game. The Colts will finish up their season at 7:45 p.m. Friday visiting North Crowley.

Martin and Arlington enter the final week of games with identical 12-2 records and the Lady Warriors in first place by just one point, but the teams won't get the chance to settle it face-to-face. Martin was scheduled to face Sam Houston, which has struggled this year, on Tuesday before closing the regular season at 7:30 p.m. Friday hosting Bowie, another team with no chance at the playoffs.

Arlington also faces a pair of foes ranked lower in the district for its last two games. The Lady Colts are scheduled to host Bowie on Tuesday before visiting North Crowley at 8 p.m. Friday.

Martin will have nearly all of its remaining games in the same place, the diamonds at Workman Junior High. Only the April 3 game against Fort Worth Paschal will be played on the road.

The Lady Warriors come back from a spring break that had just one scheduled game to take on Sam Houston on Tuesday before facing Bowie at 6 p.m. on Friday.

Lamar is also in the playoff hunt and was scheduled to host Weatherford on Tuesday before visiting the tough Paschal team at 6 p.m. Friday.

Arlington, which plays all but three of its remaining district games at Workman, was looking to bounce back from a 16-2 defeat by Paschal last week when it visited Bowie on Tuesday.

Arlington and Sam Houston come back from spring break to face one another at Sam Houston on Tuesday. Arlington then hosts Paschal for a 7 p.m. game on Friday, while Sam Houston visits Bowie at the same time.

Martin was scheduled to play North Crowley on Tuesday before hosting Lamar at 7 p.m. Friday.
