The Star-Telegram and KERA, the public TV and radio station for North Texas, have agreed to a partnership to share some content.
Executive Editor Jim Witt said reports by KERA will occasionally appear on all Star-Telegram platforms. “We’re excited about this opportunity. KERA has long been respected for the journalism they produce, and our readers will benefit greatly from this partnership,” Witt said.
A KERA reporter will work a few days a week in the Star-Telegram newsroom in Fort Worth, and some Star-Telegram content will appear on the keranews.org website and the station’s blogs. Reporters will sometimes be interviewed for KERA programs.
“KERA has had a productive working relationship with the Star-Telegram over the years,” said Mary Anne Alhadeff, KERA’s president and CEO. “This is an important new chapter in our partnership.”
This is the second media partnership the Star-Telegram has announced in recent weeks, with WFAA-TV also agreeing to share content.
