Another earthquake rattles North Texas

A 2.3-magnitude earthquake was reported early Sunday near Benbrook, according to the USGS.

Another earthquake was reported early Sunday near Benbrook, increasing the number of quakes in North Texas to more than three dozen since November.

The most recent was reported at 1:32 a.m. Sunday, about 4 miles south-southeast of Benbrook, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It was measured at magnitude 2.3.

Like the other quakes in North Texas, there were no reports of major damage or injuries.

Last week, a 3.0-magnitude quake was recorded about noon Tuesday, 3 miles northeast of Azle and 2 miles northwest of Pelican Bay, the agency reported.
