The Chinese Lantern Festival, which ran during the State Fair at Dallas Fair Park, has returned as a holiday attraction constructed around the lagoon.

New this year among 25 displays are a Santa lantern, Gift Box lanterns and The Wishing Tree. There’s also a giant dragon boat, and other scenes including all the characters in the Chinese zodiac, a “hallway” of great lanterns and a towering pagoda. Acrobats perform at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Not everything is authentically Chinese: There’s a herd of longhorn cattle.

The show runs through Jan. 5. Tickets are $22 for adults, $14 for children 4-12, and free for children under 4. Parking is $15. Information:, or 214-928-7670.
