Naked grilled chicken salad, veggie tacos and green tea smoothies are on the menu at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.
DFW, which was recently ranked the fifth-healthiest airport in the U.S. by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, showed off its healthy food options for passengers Thursday, offering free samples to travelers in Terminal D.
“Passengers are asking for more choices, more options, better food and better quality,” airport spokesman David Magana said. “We would like to earn the title of healthiest airport in the world.”
Over the past few years, the airport has asked its concessionaires to add healthy items to their menus. With the renovation of its terminals, it is adding new restaurants like Ling & Louie’s, which offers sushi and stir-fry dishes and opened in the new section of Terminal A last year.
