One man was killed and two other people were injured in a mid-morning collision between an 18-wheeler and two cars on Interstate 35W between Basswood Boulevard and Western Center, officials said.

One of those injured was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth; the other’s injuries weren’t as serious, said Matt Zavadsky, a MedStar spokesman.

“We had one fatality, one taken to Harris downtown, one treated and released," Zavadsky said.

All lanes of North Freeway have reopened, said Fort Worth police spokeswoman Cpl. Tracey Knight.

The call came in at 9:24 a.m., according to the Fort Worth police website, which said the collision was near Basswood Boulevard.

No details are known about the circumstances or cause of the wreck. Check back for more later.
