The driver of a pickup that collided with a school bus at Hemphill Street and Sycamore School Road about 7:30 a.m. Monday was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, an official said.
None of the 23 people on the bus were injured, MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said.
The driver of the loaded Crowley school district bus failed to yield right of way at the intersection, police spokeswoman Sharron Neal said. The driver of a Ford F-150 tried to stop but skidded on rain-slick pavement and hit the bus, Neal said.
The driver was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, Neal said.
Some of children were put on another bus and taken to school; others were picked up by their parents, Neal said.
